Welcome! This website allows you to voice commands and to control the site with your hands. As a result, this site can only work if you allow it to access your webcam, microphone, and location for Google maps (spoiler!).
Current speaking commands:
- What time is it?
- What is the weather in...?
- Where am I / Hide the map
- Change to male/female voice
- Open portfolio/LinkedIn/GitHub
- Take a picture
- Search Google for...
- Have Max join my team
- Send email
- Calibrate
What is calibrate you may ask? Well that's a great question! At the bottom right corner of the webcam you will see a red dotted square. That is for you to place your finger or palm over and say "calibrate". What calibrate is doing behind the
scenes is calculating the average pixel color in that square (I know... WOW!) It is very important that your backgound is of a different color than the color you use for calibrating, otherwise, certain boxes may be set off unintentionally. I recommend having a solid white background.
Once you have calibrated, you will now be able to wave at the menu box in the top right corner and then wave or touch other squares; set them off and see what they do!
Furthermore, please note that your location, webcam, and microphone is not being recorded!
